The Online Education Database just released their Online College Ranking for the year 2007. The said ranking was based on several criteria such as the college or university’s accreditation, the institution’s listing in College Opportunities Online Locator (COOL), the university must offer more than one undergraduate degree-granting program online and must offer at least 50% of its undergraduate degree-granting programs online.
To come out with reliable and credible ranking, the OED makes use of eight different metrics such as acceptance rate, financial aid, graduation rate, peer Web citations, retention rate, scholarly citations, student-faculty ratio, and years accredited to rank the online universities accordingly.
